It is very important to us at Parklands that we reward students who display positive behaviour. We have an in-school reward system known as Achievement Points. This points system allows pupils to earn in-school rewards, entry into raffle draws and certificates of recognition. Pupils will be awarded Achievement Points for a variety of reasons, ranging from attendance, completing work to a high standard, completing homework to a high standard, representing their House and representing the school. The system aims to give all pupils the opportunity to achieve and earn rewards for effort and contribution, regardless of ability level.
Pupils are rewarded in individual curriculum areas, along with Year Group Rewards assemblies and House assemblies such as certificate/prize presentations.
Whole school celebrations take place throughout the year such as Key Stage 3 Presentation Evening, GCSE Presentation Evening, Sport Presentation Assembly and Sports Evening Dinner.
Pupils are also entered into prize draws if they achieve 100% attendance/punctuality during a term.
